Traders who were <em>long<\/em> (betting the price would go up using 10x, 50x, or 100x leverage) got forced out of their positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The stats show that $984 million worth of Bitcoin longs were liquidated in just 24 hours. Every time a long position is liquidated, the exchange automatically sells that Bitcoin, pushing the price down further, which triggers the <em>next<\/em> liquidation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a domino effect. You rode the roller coaster, sure, but you are still in the seat. The 541,000 traders who got liquidated yesterday? They fell off the ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong>What\u2019s next?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The market has <em>flushed<\/em> the system.
